Profiles on W800i - change ringtones? |

Does anyone know if I can change the profile ringtones on a W800i? I can't seem to find this option which sort of defeats the point of having profiles. Also, when you have a profile activated it doesn't say which one - can you change this?

there are no option to set specific ringtone for specific profiles, only for specific contacts.
I dont see how it defies the reason for profiles, as the purpose of profiles are many other settings than ringtone, meating (silent), outdoors (loud), headset, etc.
For instance it doesnt make any difference what ringtone to use in the silent meatingprofile which doesnt use a ringtone at all.
Press down on the volume button and you will see curent status including which profile is in use.
Sure theres allways something different when going from one brand to another, some things may be missing while you gain other things.
Consider and enjoy how much more you are getting from the W800 over the 6100 instead of letting one litle thing spoil your fun

Point taken... I'll try to be more optimistic, the W800i is brilliant phone But I still think you should be able to change ringtones under profiles, that's a fundamental thing. I like to have more descreet ringtones when in the office (and not just vibration) and more noticible ones when at a party for instance. Just personal preference I guess, but I think Nokia really got it right there! | |
