I've read somewhere that there are some differences between the K750i and the W800i Media Player?
If that's true, what are the differences?

K750i has playlists. It doesn't just order the music by folders. But you can't order the music by artist for example.
Once you start down the path, forever will it dominate your destiny!!! |

Yes you can. Look at this pic..
Its from my K750i, I took it now.. no its not flashed to W800, its just the W800 theme.
My girlfriend has a W800 and the difference is the file structure and how the music is presented. |

the music has to be in mp3 format with id tag info. It seems K750 can't read the tag info in AAC tracks (I've tried M4a and M4P tracks and no go). |

There's no chance of support for m4p on anything which isn't Apple-sponsored; however I dumped some (my ripped) .m4a files onto the K750 for kicks and it worked just fine. |

what i'm saying is that to read the track info from id tags it needs to be in mp3 format. Of course you can play mp4 tracks no worries , but it uses the file name for the scrolling track info, not the mp4 id tags.
Whereas mp3's use the id tag info for the scrolling track display.
oops, sorry when I said m4p I intended to mean mp4!!
