Maximum memory stick size w800 takes? |

what is the biggest stick they will take? im sure i read 1gb but on mobilefun they are selling 2gb ones and it says they are compatible.

I've heard the max capacity is 4gb, but 2Gb of course will work

i think theyll take whatever the max size is, there was talk about 32gb one working when they become avialable. not sure if youll need the latest firmware for this.
however by the time memory sticks of that size are available youll probably have a new phone |

from the W800 white paper (though it may only say 4gb since that is all that is available today)

well no point having 32GB of mem if there is no good way of navigating thru it on the phone

@luckykid - as per se website, the w800i supports upto 2 gb mem stick... as far as the higher mem sticks go... we'll only know when they come out whetherthe w800i will be able to support them...

That's exactly right. It's almost as though manufacturers don't set a limit on their devices. I'd be sure whatever memory stick duo goes up to will work in the phone. In any case it's probably not a difficult thing to change if there is working issues, probably just need an upgrade firmware at most. Can't wait for the 2gb cards to come down in price!!! |
