Get caller's name on HBH-30 |

I'm having trouble getting my HBH-30 headset to say the pre-recorded caller's name when a call comes in. I'm using T68i and have tried recording the name using the headset, but still can't get the name on the headset -- the name is played on the phone instead.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you set your phone's :BT: setting on "ON"? "Automatic" does not seem to cover all the features.
Give it a go...

Yes, my Bluetooth setting is on "On"... Are you able to get your caller's name on your bluetooth headset? Thanks! |

Yes I do, but I've turned it off. Got sick off hearing my wife's name when I was bird watching...

Got a reply from SE's global support:
"... We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately the name will not be transmitted through the headset. It can only be heard through the phone."
Anyone else got this to work?

i got it working randomly on a hbh-15 without big complications... set voice answer to bluetooth and bluetooth to on... and that was it

i also cannot get the name to come through the headset. I have the HBH-30 and T68i with R2b025 software version, however, it does say on a slip included in the box when you purchase the headset that you should be running the R2E006 software for best performance,.
THAT COULD BE WHY. |

My T68i is R3C001 (AT&T/US); I suppose that is a later version than the recommended version stated on the slip that comes with HBH-30?
Anyway, still can't get caller's name...

Are the names being played clearly on your HBH-15? I cannot get them work on mine. Part of the name is always covered by the ring. Please advise. Thanks!

I think this works on the HBH-15 but not on the HBH-30. I've got both headsets and only the former announces the caller on the headset for me. Seems crazy to me to have the headset ringing but the voice being announced on the phone speaker, but that's how it seems to work on the HBH-30! |

My HBH-30 does announce the recorded callers name when my t68i rings. Works right off the box! My software version is R2A014. |

My sw rev is R2A014.
what kind of configuration are you referring to?
under voice control....
- voice dialing - on
- voice redial - on
- Voice answer - on
- caller name - on
- Magic word - off (does not work with bluetooth)

i am just trying to work out why i cant hear the name of the caller in the headset when the caller calls.
