I don't know if this is old news, but I just managed to get MyPhoneExplorer to work with IR. On my laptop I have no cable or Bluetooth when travelling, just built in IR, so I connected my K750 to my laptop using IR, and then I found a com port 12 in MyPhoneExplorers settings. I tried it... connected... and sent an sms to myself - it worked! As a matter of fact it works with everything MyPhoneExplorer offers - including file transfers!
This is great news for me when travelling and when I don't want the uggly Bluetooth dongle connected to my laptop
