K500 vs. K700 |

I just bought from a couple of days a K500 for 120 Euro...
I was wandering about buying a K700 by giving back the K500 and adding 50 euro in the same shop... (K700 it's at 180euro)
is it woth it?
the thing I care really are:
- louder speakerphone (wich one is it louder?)
- fast menu (it's K700 a lil slower?)
- battery usage (wich one is it better?)
ps: sry fot my english |

I have owned both phones in the past and here is what i think.
1. Screen wise, k500 is brighter but have less resolution therefore less sharp.
2. In terms of UI speed, i think both have the same speed.
3. k500's speaker is definitely louder
4. battery stamina, i think both are the same. k700 may drain much faster due to presence of radio and bluetooth (which you may use often).

so I must keep my K500?
what about bulit in material quality?
I heard of K500:
"the silver frame around the screen SUCKS the most cos once the chrome starts coming off..."
does K700 is affected? isn't it all in metal? |

contrary to thought, most of the K700 is plastic covered with metallic looking paint/coating. I dropped my phone once and the paint chipped away at one corner near the screen. However, other than that accident, the rest of the phone was fine for the 1 year I had it. (except for the stupid Quickshare sticker which kept dropping off)

K700 screen quality is muc much much much better in all regards ! I used to have k500, which was great, but k700 is really top of the hill. Everything looks and feels different, bettered and enhanced. Unmissable!
Sound-wise, speaker quality for MIDI tones seemed much better delineated on k500. But on this phone, you can't set MP3 files as ringtones... so be advised ! it is possible on k700 and I use it all the time: I make my own ringtones in my computer based on my favourite songs/FX and upload them via Bluetooth to my k700.
But the screen quality provided on k700 will exceed all of your expectations by far , belive me !

I own K500 and it can set MP3 as ringtone,
however mp3 as ringotne can not be set on vodafone branded products, cos of it's licensing policy
I have experiences with K700, so here are their's pro et contra
K500
+ have louder ringtone
+ better lens cover
+ physically biger screen
+ better battery autonomy
(don't know why, but K5 can last for 3-5 days, and K7 2-3 days)
K700
+ much much more memory (40 MB vs 12 MB)
+ radio
+ bt
+ alu-finish
+ high-res display
+ camera flash lamp (usable at night portraits)
You asked for 3 things and in two of them K5 wins,
in third (speed) its a draw |

thank you guys, good analisys!!! so I think I will keep my good K500!
the only problem I found it's the battery, last only 1.5 day on heavy-average usage, but maybe it's only the second day that I started with charging cycles...
One last thing, I was trining to find java-games, exept for K500 made games:
-K700 games arent playable because of the screen resolution of K500
-maybe T610-T630 games?
-or motorola?
-I heard that maybe nokia s40 work too?
plz tell me wich java-games works on it! thanks!!!

as on all SE phones battery reach its full potential after 2-3 weeks,
so you can expect in that period after every recharge to last longer.
some games for K700 works good on K500, some do not
You can find some games on www.sony-ericsson.ru |
