Hi there ive just setup my imate jam but want to know is it possible with these settings (changing the port to 8080 and through a work/proxy connection) to have full net access and be able to retrieve ya emails ,ive got it set up fine with the full web access but i cant seem to get it workin with retrieving emails at all ive changed the settings so my email fetch the mail through the work connection but it always pops up with errors ,to check settings .etc.

Is it possible to have full net access and email with o2 payg web,Thanks

Not according to O2, it's only on contract.

You must be lucky to have the, almost full web access by proxy, up and running. I 've connected a few times since they stopped it, but I'm starting to give up on it. It seems impossible now.

It seems possible to connect to the wap portal with my nokia browser, but their firewall seems to recognize internet explorer on my PC and blocks all incoming traffic.

The nokia wap browser can pick up http pages, so I reckon the only way is to "spoof" which browser you are using somehow.

try retrieving ur emails with dial up its slow but works on pay and go.
i do know how to access ur emails on pay and go gprs with an ip address in the mail.o2 section in settings. i cant remember the addy off top of my head tho i will post tomo eve unless someone else does b4

ok, change incoming server address (mail.o2.co.uk) too 193.113.160.013
this should allow u to connect to ur email with o2 p&g gprs hopefully this works without using port 8080
