For the techies...

Anybody got an idea what the icon just right of the signal bar is?

My phone has started trying to make CSD data calls every 20 minutes or thereabouts, so I've had to disable all outgoing...

Cheers

Could be your email account trying to 'auto-recieve' any new emails?! Thats my only incline to this problem though. Check your email settings and see what the setting is for checking of new emails automatically are.. [addsig]

Looks like it's the "My Friends" icon.

Oh didn't notice the little pic you've put up now mate, I also agree it does look like the 'my friends' icon. Speaking of which, that refuses to set-upon my W800i [addsig]

looks similar to the "my friends" icons but I have not seen that myself.

here is a small extract from the K700 manual showing that icon

Yep I just checked, it is the my friends icon.

Thanks hombres!

I eventually figured what it was.

I think my brother snaffled my phone at some point and tried to exercise his blinding genius in setting it up so he could chat to his little hulkamaniac buddies...

I wish things like manuals would show every possible icon and indication that a phone might display during its lifetime of usage.

Cheers

Doesn't the manual have a list of icons on the last pages?

The MyFriends "thing" is only available on some firmware-versions of the K700 - just to inform the folks that might be searching for it.

@centraspike:

Go to "My Friends" ---> Configure ---> Auto Login ---> Select "Off".
Turn off your phone and that icon won't be disappeared anymore unless you're login.
