hi,
i'm new to this forum,have read some 3d in the archive but didnt find any answer to my questions..
first of all,apologize me for my poor english or any sintax mistake,,i'm from italy.
i've bought a unbranded new s.e. k750i and upgraded firmware to the latest version available via seus 1.9.
my camera always worked quite bad when shooting pics bynight, there are always horizontal rows in the pics using standard capture.
here i post an example of what my camera does.

In the latest firmwares se have decreased the quality of the camera and video.
Maybe in the next firmware they will put it back to what it was in the original firmware or make it even better.
We can but hope

yep i read about that but even before firmware upgrade,image quality was not tidy..(only when shooting in the night)...
anyone knows the reason of this?
let's hope in an early new fw release..

It's to do with the iso setting. The higher the iso rating for the shot, the worse the white lines are. I did some testing, check it out at http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=102241 |

Night shots always turn out grainy. Basically the software is forcing the camera to get as much light as possible. If you ever try night vision goggles, you will see a lot of graininess too. I don't think there is a substitute for a proper flash. I recently got my MXE-60 and find it works decently well. Only complaint is that is on auto-flash mode and you can't force the flash to go off if it thinks the environment is bright enough.

I agree, the flash is the way to go if you really want to get into night shots.
Still I have managed to get pretty reasonable shots with the night mode and/or light combo. |

me too I have those lines,nothing to worry about...
I am planning to buy a sony H1 or a canon S2 so...I really need a pro camera but the k750 one is nice for beach ''girl'n'string'' quick photos
