since i got my w800i i have been keeping my eye on the w800i service update. i have found that it used to say that it doesnt support the w800i as of yet hwne you clicked support on the main page. now it has the w800i listed. doesnt his mean they are gonna be releasing a new filmware to fix the god damn bugs ie, crashing when bluetoothing, crashing when looking at pictures in slide show. |

well if it's there, that's exactly what it means...i haven't had a chance to use mine with a bluetooth headset yet but the slideshow worked fine. In any case we'll see what happens. SE has the best system for upgrading and so on:-D
can't wait till we have chips implanted in our brains and the size issue goes back to being something else. |

@Ste- Hopefuly they should.. But I think (maybe wrong) a lot depends on how widely used the specific piece is (Geog.cal location AND Firmware version) ! Like for S710a that was mainly launched in USA.. SEUS has turned a blind eye. > > Are you sure about these "bugs" ? What exactly (like Freeze, Reboot etc.) happens, when on BT use or SlideShow ?

There are a number of bugs on R1L on the W800, but many are also on the K750 so both should see a firmware update soon.
Viewing pictures is generally okay in full screen mode, but it's quite common to freeze the phone if you try and zoom in on some pictures (well, it seems random to me which ones crash it).
Also, when using the K750 or W800 with my Motorola iHF1000 car kit (the voice recognition one), it reboots the phone when you first pair it.
The phone restarts, and then says pairing complete (one of the many reboots where it seems to carry on from where it left off - so how many times has the phone crashed in your pocket without you noticing?).
When you answer a call with the car kit, the car kit says "Call ended" even though you can then talk. It's only when I use a K750 or W800, although I'd accept it as being possible that it's the car kit that is causing that particular error.
The last problems are when you sometimes try and change a wallpaper. Despite it saying "OK", you return to the standby screen and it hasn't changed. And if you use a Flash screen saver as a wallpaper (I copied over the daytime/nighttime clock one from the K608) it stops the camera starting up.

I took a load of pictures last Thursday, many of which are quite large (noisy images on account of it being quite dark). If I scroll down the pictures (in 2x2 mode - which means I should try 3x3), the phone now reboots at exactly the same image repeatedly.
With news of the new K750i firmware, I hope the W800i gets an upgrade quite quick too. However, with a few problems on the Walkman player side, it may need a bit more work yet.
