How does your phone disconnect anyway? Also, i think gprs disconnects whenever a call comes in...

There is no way to have the GPRS on all the time. Nokias let you do that though. When you receive a call the GPRS should stay connected though.

Do i understand you correctly? You only get charged for the connection, but not for the kb up- and downloaded?

Hi- I have a query whicg is the reverse. Is there a way to Discconet GPRS (kill it fully) ? After XYZ event or time ? I know the GPRS Timeout feature- has preset times. But even then the 'globe' / online icon stays ! What if I want it to disconnect on its own after downloading a Big File or Mails or whatever ? Ok, my Network charges Pay Per Use.. But what if its time based. Any Clue? Thanks in Advance

I know that there's a Symbian app called AppMan which allows you to shut down applications, including your browser... Useful since some apps don't fully shut down sometimes.

I'd like to know an answer to this too.. I have a k700 now, and had a k500 before. I think I could make the k500 stay online with gprs and then I should be able to do it with k700 too, right?

GPRS shares the same channels as voice communication and you cannot have both active at the same time.

SE phones have a setting that defines if a voice call can be accepted during a GPRS data call. If the setting is negative then the voice call takes the path defined by the busy signal. If the setting is positive then the GPRS data call is suspended for the duration of the voice call and resumes at the end of the voice call.
