Just bought a new car, sold my old car with HCB-300 handsfree kit. Must get new car HF, and I'm torn between another handsfree and the new HCA-60, which would allow me to pipe music through the stereo system (I hope...). My wife and I both have K750s, so compatibility wouldn't be a problem either way. I know neither one is out yet, but surely they'll be available soon. So, which way would you go? for the wireless factor or wired for the music?

I'd go HCB-700 plus an FM modulator plugged into the headphone cable of the K750.

What make/model is your new car? It's likely I can tell you if it's compatible with the HCA-60.

Thanks @ carkitter. Its a 2005 Toyota Sienna. What makes a car compatible or not? And how much does an FM modulator cost?

FM Modulator thread

Belkin iPod FM Modulator sells for NZ$79.95 Currency Convertor

Hmm... Never heard of a Sienna before.
Googled it and it look's like what I know as an Avensis.

Toyota's have thier own specific stereo plug. Sony Ericsson's stereo wiring uses ISO (Euro) plugs as seen on Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW and several other European makes and therfore won't plug straight in.
The wiring could be modified, especially if you will sell it with the car (as you did with the HCB-300), but I would suggest an FM Modulator is an easier option and portable too.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new car!

Edit: Now that Toyota owns Daihatsu, Daihatsu uses Toyota stereo plugs.

Cool idea. The Belkin FM Modulator costs about $25 US, though then I'd need the HPM-70 to connect it to the headphone jack... Life is complicated...

Clarification for those browsing this topic:

HCA-60 has stereo mute wire only.
MP3 playback thru car stereo reqires installation of HCE-26 stereo connector wiring kit.
Ford BA Falcon and Holden VY/VZ Commodore may not require HCE-26 as thier stereo's have cellphone sound integration as standard.
