Hi

I have a few question on theme designing (for the K750i).

1. What package do you use to display previews ? When I use the SE Theme Creator preview option it looks a bit rubbish and dispalys blank pages including author details and ring tone details.

2. How do you get see through buttons and also buttons with colour shading? I can only seem to select buttons with one block colour.

3. Some people have changed the shape of the menu select scroll bar, so it has rounded edges, how do you do that?

4. Some people have changed the shape of the icon that allows you select different options in the menu page, again how do you do that?

5. What package do you use to create themes?

I am currently working on my first theme based on Greece, who recently won Euro 2004. I'll also do a Platoon and Aliens (Colonial Marines) theme at some point.

Thanks for the help.

1. You use the SonyEricsson Theme Creator. If you don't want the blank areas just edit the file in Photoshop!

2. You create the files on a layer in Photoshop then save as PNG files with transparency

3. Again you create the graphic on a layer in Photoshop, whatever shape you want, with or without transparency and save as a PNG. For the K750 the element you change is called "Desktop Highlight"

4. Not sure which icon you are talking about, but you can't change any of the icons on the Desktop display. They are controlled by the firmware in the phone. Some people's icons may look different but that is because they've been customised ("branded") by their network operator.

5. Sony Ericsson Theme Creator and Adobe Photoshop CS

Have a look at Links to Windows, Mac & Linux Theme Creators for SE Phones there's a link to a tutorial you may find useful. Its for the K700 but it applies to K750 too.
