okay, i changed my p910i for a k750i, and i am really glad i did - it's a much smaller, neater phone... but i have one major obstacle!
the k750i was originally locked to orange (but has been successfully unlocked) and i am an o2 customer. everything is working fine except for my internet access and MMS picture messaging.
i have had my settings sent to me twice in the last 24 hours, and when i put my SIM back into my p910 i can send and receive picture messages, and connect to the internet no problems, yet when i switch back to my k750i i cannot.
so do i need my phone flashed, and also, can you recommend anyone to do it for me. i live in northern ireland.
thanks in advance

This problem has been mentioned, discussed and answered over and over again. If you use the search feature you'll find the answer within a few seconds, so there's really no need for me to tell you myself |

Ok, what the heck, here's the answer. Your problem is related to the first firmware update. There's a new firmware available that fixes the problem you're having. Use SEUS to update your phone with the supplied USB cable. No need to find someone that can flash it for you. It's free. If your service provider is blocking your phone from SEUS, then you'll need to leave it for service and they'll do the update for you. |

@Rossyvdp
SEUS is Sony Ericssons version of updating your phone; using it doesn't void your warranty.
DaVinci has nothing to do with SEUS. Most people who use it have a phone that isn't accepted at SEUS. Some of them are branded from i.e. Vodafone and people want the original looking firmware. People also use DaVinci for changing the language version on their phone. Others use the service to unlock their phone so they can use a sim card from any operator.
Using SEUS is free. Using DaVinci costs a small fee.
I always recommend people to use SEUS if their phone is supported (i.e. not branded by an operator that doesn't allow the use of SEUS). If their phone is not supported then I know there are many people who have used DaVinci successfully. It's a very stable service, but as with everything else in life, things can go wrong. If things go wrong using DaVinci, you can't claim your warranty and have it fixed. If things go wrong while using SEUS, you can always claim your warranty. Also, even if using DaVinci is successful, you warranty is voided.
I don't recommend people with a K700i to use SEUS though. I have written a lot about the problem between the K700i and SEUS, and that's probably what you're refering to in the above post. Sony Ericsson has totally failed in making SUES work properly for that model. Many K700i have been corrupted. That means the phone (in most cases) work after the update, but many files in the phone are damaged and it all looks silly...
SEUS for the K750 works much better than for the K700i, so there's no problem anymore. If you're phone is supported at SEUS - use it over DaVinci!
Your problem is related to the R1J firmware - you need to update to R1L and hopefully you can use SEUS to do it. If not, leave your phone for service rather than using DaVinci since you're not looking for anything else than an update.
Good luck!
