Hi, I have a v802se that I bought a couple months ago. The phone came to me unlocked and worked very well for the first 2 months. I upgraded my phone to z800 firmware hopeing it will fix the following problems. First the camera is very choppy, sort of like its going frame by frame, and no the camera isn’t on night mode, it is impossible to record a decent looking video now. My second most concerning problem is that the phone will show normal reception when the phone is closed, but when the phone is opened the reception bars will go all the way to zero fast. If a call comes in while the phone is closed as soon as I open it the call is missed. Only rarely will the reception show a couple bars when opened, but only for very short time. I cannot make calls because of this. Does any one have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any ideas what’s wrong? Thank you.

Maybe you close antennae by your hand when open it? Try putting it on surface when its open and see what happens. Nice name btw :-D

@chinchin

Well, not all things can be fixed in a firmware update. Neither are all "bugs" in a phone software related. I think it's obvious that your phone needs to be repaired. The problem is that you have flashed it with unbranded firmware, so that voids the warranty.

Well, the phone doesn't have an external antenna. The reason i flashed it was because i thought it could have been a bug so removing the old firmware with the bugs and putting in a fresh better one might fix it. Obviously i was wrong. Does anyone know of a place that could repair my phone, preferably in southern california? Or another way to fix it?

Well, after looking around turns out its a problem with the RF modulator apparently there is a place where people with my problem sent their phones and had it fixed, i might have to do the same. The place is in florida http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=627652
