Vodafone uk & minute manager service to control call costs?!?!?!? |

I can remember a couple of years ago, Vodafone had 'minute manager service'. This was a way to keep costs down by checking how many inclusive price plan minutes you still had left for that month by dialling 1793 from your handset. This replied by telling you how many minutes you have left.
Does anyone know a way of controlling your costs in this way? Since this service has been disconnected, is there another similar service? Why was in disconnected?I know that it is not in Vodafones interest to provide this information, but you would think that they would give this info.
When I tried to contact Vodafone about this they said that they were unable to calculate the roll over minutes accuratly, but surely if Orange can do this service for their tarrifs (much more complicated than Vodafones) then surely there must be something available out there?????
Any points of view on this?

I remember that to! U can text the word bill to 8087 for call charges number of texts etc but u get charged 12p. The best way is to register online if u are on contract and view your ebill. Tells you call charges/data used/call time etc and you can view all your calls made whenever you want. Ed

Yeah I agree. Looking at the bills online is probably the best and most convinient way of controlling call expenses. |
