Is this a valid way of killing all of the locked wap profiles and hardcoded live! shortcuts? I'd try myself but I've kinda already set the rest up as I'd like...

No, resetting the phone doesn't remove the settings. To get rid of the settings and live branding, you have to get the phone de-branded by either a specialist or by using davinci software.

I don't think I was clear.

I don't have a Live! handset. I have the non-Live, black K750i. The one that the Vodashop sells has a few locked profiles and games though that I'd like to get rid of. Would a hard reset do this?

nope it wouldnt u would still need to debrand the handset before gettin rid of these elements... even though it isnt fully branded it is locked to certain things like settings etc...

try www.davinciteam.com or www.totalmultiserver.com

Thanks VJ, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I can live with them, it was just niggling at me.

@Shak

Masseur reported something familiar last week. It's a new thing at Vodafone lately. They sell sets that doesn't seem to be branded - but they are (partially)! The outside is original and the firmware isn't branded, but some settings can't be changed and they're locked to Vodafone.

I think masseur reported it when buying a W800 last friday.
