IR (ES-620) problem with K750 |

I recently bought a K750i and couldn't wait to transfer my files from the PC to my phone (and vice-versa). Of course, it came with the data cable but unfortunately, I'm using WIN98 on my pc, and the PC Suite is not compatible with it.
So earlier, I bought an IR (Edisonsoft ES-620), tried to install it but there still isn't any connection. There was a problem with the driver. I've tried browsing on the net for possible solutions and I found out that there's a lot who experienced the same problem. A few threads stated they used the Bafo BF-120 and it worked for them. Wish I could say the same.

hi there , i also used the IR (ES-6xx) series model that u mentioned . normally , pc will look the ir as a usb device . try to check it using add new hardware . if their is a exclamation mark pertaining to usb device .You should install it with the cd driver for your IR .
also , it is better to upgrade it to winxp for better performance and auto-detection of plug and play devices .

I think you should completely uninstall the IR, restart ur PC and then re-install ur IR device. I am using the same ES620 IR device since the days when i used to have a samsung c100..(after that i got myself a K700 and now a K750) and my IR works without a hitch on win 98 as well as win XP. Incase you have a problem with the driver, you should contact ur vendor for a new driver CD, which should be typically free, but here they charge around 2 US$ for a CD

Thank you so much, it is now working! Just uninstalled and re-installed the driver for the ES. I didn't install the driver Windows was searching for. There must've been a conflict or something...

Hi, i'm having same problem as well as my BAFO IrDA(ES-620) is not able to detect my K750i. Why?
I'm very sure that my K750i infrared is ok.
I tried the uninstallation way as you guys performed but it doesn't work too.
I tried the es-620.sys from my CD.
Anyway, can anyone of you help to send me the es-620.sys may be?
Any idea?
