I have had my T68i for 2 months now, and until last week, loved it. However, last week i dropped the phone from a height of 1 foot, and the battery release switch, cracked! so now the battery comes loose, and it turns off.
So i contacted Sony ericsson to see how much it would be for the part, or for a repair and they said that i wasnt covered by warranty due to accidental damage and the cost would be.......drum roll.......... A STANDARD CHARGE OF £50 TO LOOK AT THE PHONE, AND ID HAVE TO PAY P+P AS WELL!
As you all can imagine, this cheesed me off, so if anyone can help, please do, as i now have a rather unattractive piece of sticky tape holding my battery on!

PS DONT DROP YOUR PHONE, THEY WILL F**K YOU FOR IT!

Calm down. Head into a phone shop such as the CarphoneWarehouse and hand your phone in. They will send it of to on your behalf and I think you will not incur a hefty £50 bill for it.

I've dropped it from as high as 4 feet onto solid tar but nothing so much as a few scratches!
