Hello there,
I have problem with my cyber-blue BT card with XTNDConnect Blue Manager, MPM just cannot find my T68 phone and it's OK to dialup to GPRS with Blue Manager. T68 can well paired with my laptop.

I believe it's not the problem of BT card but Blue Manager with MPM. ( Sine the card is well managed by Blue Manage and can send file, dial to gprs etc.) The XTNDConnect Version is 1.0.8 and MPM is 1.0.0.624 comes with MyPicture.

Any one there have successful experince to sync with T68 via an Blue Manager driven BT connection? Any trick?

Thanks in advance....

which OS are you using on your PC ?

If it is XP, no surprise, MPM doesn't work on XP (although some people have luckily succeded). Se doesn't give any ETA for XP support

My OS is Windows 2000.

One clarification, The XTNDConnect 1.0.8 I mentioned is not XTNDConnect PC but XTNDConnect Blue Manger that provides driver for my BT card as well as virtual serial interface. I also tried to use different software to inital MPM e.g. XTNDConnect PC or My Picture etc. But symptom is still same, MPM just try to open BT serial port but doesn't inital any real communication.

I found TDK Mobile from TDK Systems works with Blue Manager (it doesn't use MPM interface) but it's not free and less function than Ericsson native software. e.g. Phone setting, SMS etc.

Create a virtual com port from your connection manager which you will identify from MPM settings so other MPM-dependent applications can "see" your phone.

try to use "virtual com port" as a key for ESATO SEARCH

@T68mcUser,

in general, regardless of the bt product used, you have to:

1. install package 4 (R4A, see my sticky post on the software section) - this includes the XTND Connect (do not use the one that came with
2. install your bluetooth software, it will create virtual ports, example from com5 to com9

the T68i supports the following services: serial port 1, serial port 2, dial-up networking, fax

3. assign serial port profile (SPP) for the T68's serial port 1 on com5
4. assign serial port profile (SPP) for the T68's serial port 2 on com6
5. assign dial-up networking (DUN) for the T68's DUN on com7
6. (optional) assign fax to the T68's fax on com8

on the control panel/phone monitor options, enable com5 <- this is what MPM (and XTND Connect as well) will use.

you can use com6 for other application that does not require MPM, such as float's FMA. so DO NOT enable this port on phone monitor options.

that's it.

by the way, i have been using windows xp since i got the T68 and never had problems related to MPM. i use Ir, cable, and bluetooth (anycom and msi) on my notebook.

excellent reply, sir arnold.

may i suggest that you include that in the bluetooth sticky post or start a "generic" bluetooth topic discussion thread for that?

@arnoldc and GOWin,

Thanks for kind reply. Acutally I did what you described and it still dosen't work. I wonder if any one really has successful experience with XTNDConnct Blue Manager (Not XTNDConnect PC for Sync but Blue Manager as BT driver). Only difference is that the virtual port is pre-created instead of setting connection with port in Widicom driver that works with MSI and TDK dongle.

I just bought a new MSI dongle and it works perfect. My CF BT is still useful with my pocket, bundled mPhone can do sync and SMS with T68. I just don't recommend any one buy BT comes with XConnect Blue Manager driver before any one has a workaround with it.

When I installed XTND blue manger on my Windows 2000 SERVER I found that the driver come with blue manger is from Windigo System Inc. But Windigo System Inc refused to give me the latest driver when I email them for it. My Blue-Tooth adapter is Panasonic BTU01.
I cannot download the driver of if from Panasonic.co.jp coz I don't know japanese.

YOU WILL REGRET IF YOU BOUGHT XTND BLUE MANAGER

No. You can never get driver from Windigo but OEMs.

You may try to write email to Panasonic, hopefully someone over there speaks English and can provide you an upgrade software link.

It'll be bad if they only speak yee-yeah

Windigo has a new manager available:
http://www.windigosys.com/2.2.zip

Any one can obtain password, maybe post it?

the zip is password protected and I don't have way to unzip it. There was a 2.0a which works with MPM and sync but have problem with my new XP laptop. (frequently error).

Btw, I just changed my MMS enabled T68mc to a new T618 (T610 equivelant with Simplified Chinese support)

I got another link without winzip password protection:
ftp://ftp.inno3d.com/eio/xtndconnect_blue_manager.exe

Good luck guys with XConnect BlueManager
