Is there anyone has bought/upgraded their SE W800i thought Vodafone?

I called to Vodafone Telesales today. They said they only have SIM-FREE SE W800i, are they telling the truth?

I had a very bad experience about upgrading K750i last time directly with Vodafone two months ago.

Hi Cozy, GPRS is locked? do you have an option to store a Profile 2?

Vodafone always got a better plan than outside if I upgrade with them.

I really don't like branded phone.

do you have any suggestion where I should go for a n upgrade?

Thanks.

yeah, mine was unbranded except that there were 5 data accounts that couldn't be changed or deleted and 4 wap accounts that couldn't be chagne or deleted.

I could add my own data accounts though.

Also the internet icon takes you to vodafone live

thats all I found. I also tried to use an MP3 that I created as a ringtone and it DID work fine without DRM packaging unlike the K750 and K700 that vodafone sell

Thanks for your reply, masseur.

It sounds that is very annoying. Usually I will disable the Vodafone Live(or WAP service by editing the PROFILE).

I found that you can easily accidently click the wrong button and end up paying a massive bill.

That's not too bad, Phantomlynx.

So on what Vodafone will start charging you on Vodafone Live?

Browsing is free - but not downloading right?

On SonyEricsson webpage, they said "Enhance with accessories
A quality headset is included in the phone kit. To enhance your sound experience even further, connect your W800i to your stereo with the Music Cable MMC-60. Keep listening but never miss a call. Your music automatically stops when a call comes in."

However, my W800i with vodafone hasn't come with a Music Cable MMC-60.

Does it happen to you too?

Thanks for your reply.

It sounds like it was free.

Overall i like the phone, and hope it's really SIM-FREE by Vodafone. I haven't tired other network sim card yet.
