Funny thing happened to my K750i the other day, since my mem stick (64MB) got full, I decided to use the phone memory instead, which used to be fine when lo and behold, I can no longer see my picture files using the file manager. Even funnier, I can view the pics with no problems using the phone.

Now there are 2 possibilities I'm looking at here:

1. Since I recently updated my firmware (China, R1L002), maybe just maybe, the pics aren't backwards compatible?

2. I accidentally selected "move to phone memory" while browsing the pics, could've baffled my phone making the pics non-existent.

I've tried copying the entire folder, but to no avail, apparently, only pics coming from the stick show up on my PC (Windows XP, SP 1, P4),also there are times when the phone either just dies (shuts off) or just gets disconnected from the PC.

Anyone got an idea what to do with this?

That's how it is

Only pics and files on the stick will be seen in explorer

reason being, is that it treats your mem stick as a new drive, not the phone it self. Kinda annoying at times, suppose its to make you get a bigger mem stick, but not the end of the world

no, its not useless.

The SE filemanger is used to browse the internal memory on the phone, but cannot be used to browse the memorystick

The windows filemanger is used to browse the memorystick but cannot be used to browse the internal memory on the phone.

You need both.
