They want £60 for an upgrade - o2 want £29.99. Has anyone any experience of Orange shops discounting to match a rivals price???

I am on premier, and due to a cock up in the billing department, they seem to think I have only been on contract for two months, so they want £250 upgrade fee, and £60 for the phone, even though as a premier customer, I should get free phones, + upgrade fee. Orange have changed their stand on upgrades, they say to make it fairer, as now it is down to how much you spend over your tariff, on how much the phone will be. Cheaper for me to now buy sim free all the time than pay orange anything more than I have to.

Thing is, they say they haven't got them yet on line. I was thinking of ringing Orange and asking for a pac number to see if they match or better o2.

I called Orange on Friday and asked for a PAC. Their retentions people are usually willing to do a better deal, based on spend, however they did say to me that they usually get phones in stock up to two weeks after the stores (which strikes me as ridiculous). I'm waiting for them to have the W800 in stock so I can get a better tariff deal/bundle.

Hmm I was gonna ring Orange tomorrow to discuss getting the W800. I was hoping to pay less than £60 and was hoping that they might match O2's £30.

Ill have to wait and see...
