I have looked through SE's website for months, for a new firmware on the S710. Is the phone that perfect that it doesn't need a firmware?

I doubt the S700 firmware will work on a S710.
It can render it useless, I'm affraid.

I have tried to use Gmail with my phone and it does not work.

I know that the latest firmware on the S700 resolved this issue.

Try sending an email to questions.US@support.sonyericsson.com. Nothing on the web at all?

No... I have version R1A033

Version R2A016

Has the option to mute shutter sound.. The new version has better bluetooth support (updated) and no menu delay.

@ sailaab

Thanks,

I haven't been in esato much lately. I've been traveling on business and have not had time for much lately. I should be home the next few months. Feels good to be home. Gotta check in with 'SE India Thread Reloaded' and catch up.

Hope you fit and fine ! I somehow think S700/S710 is a bigger rarity (even sales wise) than even UIQ. Maybe thats why they are taking it easy. Please do let us know whatever updates you get. Operator here ready for EDGE. And if SE doesnt launch a successor soon, I may butter you up to send me the S710 :P
