Sorry if already posted but Vodafone are selling the V800 for £190 on PAYG....was £400 quite recently so has dropped loads.
Please don't flame me, I know it has the god awful Voda branding and DRM nonsense but hey, someone may be interested!

Just spoke to a friend who bought one of these today and said that also had £20 credit as part of the deal. What a shame is on Voda!!

What's wrong with Vodafone apart from the branding?

It's not that bad is it? I mean you can always get it unbranded, or whatever.
Anyways there could be worse. Here in Malaysia, my friendly service provider DiGi does not know what push e-mail is. And they insist on EDGE even though other operators are already expanding their 3G networks.

i find that some country better take the step to edge before going to 3G.
3G is totally diffirent more expencive. implanting EDGE is much cheaper and easyer. every operator can have its full network up and running with EDGE within the year. while not every operator can do that with 3G.

and yes i must agree 2, vodafone is crap. stupdig branding and limiting functions, delay's on firmware updates,...
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

Look what Voda did with the Nokia 6630. Locked it and all Voda firmware updates to a 3G signal even though they knew there was a huge problem with resets when roaming from 3G to 2.5. I know Orange can be a pain but tends to be more cosmetic with branding. At times I really wonder how Voda get away with it....suppose alot of their customer's don't know better and assume that is how the handset should look/operate.
Anyway, I know very little about the V800 but this seemed a good price. If it is easy to de brand etc could be a bargain. Don't know how much you would pay for a sim free one.
