hi. recently i 've been having problems with my hpm-10. it just wouldn't play when i connected it. at first i thought i was doing something wrong but then i noticed when pluged into the chrager i had to mve it a bit before it charged.

clean the gold connectors underneath, it may sound really stupid and simple but it's necessery. with a toothpick or something.

As I remember the central unit is hca-20 and the holder is hch-28. I cannot see to solve this problem! I think there is one way, change the connector the bottom of the phone. Fortunely I have guarantie...

Yes my charger sometimes has trouble connecting recently - guess it's time to give 'em a clean! Don't think it will help with the crappy MP3 player problem on mine though.

well it depends what the problem is. if it's that with the slgithest touch the phone loses the hpm-10 and then finds it again and starts another song then clean your connectos. mine doesn't do it anymore. and if you hhave a cover (plastic/leather kind) then use that and the phone will never lose contact.

I found that the best cleaning solution to use is a cheap LIGHTER FLUID. Very good in cleaning contacts. This is the same stuff they use in cleaning video heads in VCRs and other electrical or electronic components.

Just use cotton swabs and they will get cleanen really fast.

WARNING : Although the stuff really dries fast, keep away from fire while doing it.

I had a real problem with my communicam on my T300 not connecting, does anybody know if anything other than lighter fluid will work, such as nail polish remover (or is that too strong) [addsig]

Had the same problem with my MCA25 which i thought was busted. Cleaned the connectors with ethyl alcohol and it worked fine.

When you say clean the gold connectors, do you mean the ones at the bottom of the phone or the ones on the accessory? I'd better make sure before I do anything stupid! Thanks!

both of them. don't soak them with the fluid otherwise it might get into the phone or the camera/mp3 player.

Yeah, just dip the swab in the alcohol and squeeze out the excess. Use a scrubbing motion on the contacts in the bottom of the phone. I didn't touch the contacts on the MCA25 as you could bend them out of alignment.
