Can anyone help? i want to use my K750 with skype to speak to my dad in Roumania. He also has a K750 so we want to use them as handsets via bluetooth. The reason for this is that his phone bill was £650!!! So he's trying to save a bit of dosh without having to buy SKYPE phones. Anyone know how to do this or heard of it?

Thanks, guys.

There is a Skype client for Nokia 6680 that works through Bluetooth, but I haven't heard of anything similar for cellphones.

Would it not be possible to use a bluetooth dongle/bluetooth headset through your PC and talk that way?

The Belkin USB Dongel I have allows the K750i to be used as a handset (like a headphone / mike) - I will try it with Skype later but it seems to work for audio so far

Start a BT connection to your phone. As the k750i is only GPRS, and not 3G, you might not get the required bandwidth needed. By connecting your phone to your PC, you can eliminate the direct call method.

However, you need to consider that data is expensive and this is how operators are going to make money. Voice ARPU is pretty much dead. Also, you pay for the packets going up and down. Not to mention to use Skype, the other person using it has to purchase credits so that the calls can be Skyped out. In the end not a very attractive solution.

Skype works just fine for the 6680 - you should use it with EDGE (symetric mode 118kbps up/down) or 3G ! On normal gprs is a bit 'dodgy' but still acceptable. Try gprs+ for a bit extra speed. You can also bluetooth connect the cell to your pc but what's the point ? Just use a mic/headphone combination ! If you don't have flat rate edge access you aren't going to save much. Use agile messenger for simplex ptt ! Next time buy a more suited phone buddy ! The k750i is made to take pictures !

Anyone knows when this is available for K750i ?

Or could anyone help me setting my BT headset up with my BT dongle, and make it work with skype or MSN....
