ok, i dropped my k750i in water. it has now gone dead despite a week of drying. it was working for a bit but is now totally dead.

im sending it to a sony ericson repair place or whatever. will they be able to tell i dropped it in water? or is it possible they will fidn water still inside it. for this reason i want to open up the phone to try and dry it more. ive taken the two normal screws but cant undo the back.

is it safe to take off the back without them knowing i have done it? or is there a tamper sticker?

They can test for corrosion on the circuit board and a lot of the time it's quite visible. There isn't much you or they can really do about it. And, I'm afraid you are SOL for warranty in this situation.
