T39m problem. Please help !! |

Hi !
I just got my T39m (R3B006, prgCX125268, R3B006, prgCXC125147_TAE) last week and I could easily hook it up
with my PocketPC via IR port (just had to go to Extras/Infrared
port and select "ON" option). Yesterday I asked my mobile
provider to turn on GPRS for me and they also sent me
GPRS settings via SMS. After successfull installation, GPRS
worked fine, but then "Infrared port" setting was set on OFF.
And now everytime I select "Infrared port" ON it never stays
ON, it always resets back to OFF, thus disabling me from using
IR connection. I tried master resetting the phone but to no avail...
Any ideas, suggestions on how to fix the damn thing ? |

No, it was set on ON since I bought it and set it myself. After I installed settings for GPRS, I noticed that IR port was set back to OFF. Now I can't re-set it back to ON. If I select 10 minutes, it only says "IR deactivated". Seems like something got messed up in the phone. I also did master reset (Reset settings only). Should I perform Reset All master reset ? (will that also affect data on my SIM?) |

I would recommend a full master reset but please take note that this will delete all your phone settings and customizations . Your SIM data will be safe.

Just performed full master reset. Lost all but SIM data.
Still can't get Infrared port turned ON.
This is getting frustrating...
Any other ideas ?
U think that GPRS could interfere with it ? |

There's nothing else you can do now but send it to a local SE service point.
