Hi all,

is OBEX ftp actually needed for file transfer?

if so do both sender and receiver need to have it?

I think they don't. E.g. windows xp sp2 bt driver does not have obex, but file transfer can be done through serial port. Though that kind of transfer is user-not-friendly, it works.

OBEX file transfer profile is reqd only if u want to browse the folders on ur phone on ur pc, copy and paste items etc. If u simply want to transfer files, Object Push profile can do it.
