have seen that R1AF005 (which would logical be a later release than R1AB) for V800 is released (to servicepoints) for a few of the european firmware versions... it will be available for other versions when other countries/providers have approved them...

Hi there.

I only recently used the UK SEUS to update my V800 firmware. Did the update on Monday 8th August and was given firmware R1S025.

I really most interested in the TAS flash releases.

I have a upgraded my v800 to z800 and once you do that the SE update service is not an option.

First read other post about the subject! If you use the 'search' you can find a lot of answers yourself, in other posts. If you got any quesions left, then ask them, not before! There's a lot of info here on esato. Good luck!

remember to also ask about the disadvantages, because they do exist. One is that you won't be able to use the voda live properly ever again. Or the free online firmware updates.

the disadvantage is that you will lose the vodafone brand, icon, menu and most of all you will lose the warranty..

converting to z800, no restrictions on mp3, no voda crap..

use www.davinciteam.com to flash or upgrade or unlock [addsig]

I got so tired of waiting I sold my v800/z800 on ebay.

The piss poor BT connectivity with my car kit & PC was annoying.

Back on my trusty t610 for a few months while SE gets their bluetooth issues corrected.

Hope the z520 has better BT performance.
