K750i - can you stop incoming sms displaying on screen? |

A friend of mine has just upgraded her phone to the SE K750i.
She's getting on with it very well, but doesn't like the fact that incoming text messages are previewed automatically on screen - even when the phone is locked. This means that if she leaves her phone on her desk, or on a table in a bar, etc. anybody can read the first part of any text message she receives.
I haven't actually had a look at it yet to see if there's an obvious menu option - but there's nothing in the manual online.
Can anybody shed some light? Can you turn this 'feature' off?
Many thanks |

you can turn off the preview function, so that the text message will come up on the screen, however instead of saying the first line of text message it will say date and time recieved.
to do this, goto
any message in inbox
more
list options
date and time. (or no details)
i suggest you also put the phone on automatci light mode.
this will mean a clock is displayed on the screen so the message wont be seen in the first place ( except a smal message sign beside the clock)
to do this goto
settings
display
light
automatic |

Alternatively goto Settings - General - New events and set it to pop-up, this will set it to just show you have a new message and who it is from |
