Mine also becomes slow but I soon as I delete apps and sms's it's back to it's normal speeds.

texts especially can slow down a phone
it should be down to the cache memory

yeah, having a lot of sms in mine slowed it down, also having very little free memory left can slow the phone down

There is hardly any sms in my phone as i clear them every few days. I think the problem either lies in my ringtones(i got 85 of em and 6 full length songs) or the java games. However i used to have 10 games in my phone when i had it within the first week and there was hardly any ringtones. |

Maybe it is due to the hardware as i could save 10 apps when the phone was new and it was running real fast |
