Currently thinking of getting a new Se phone and am considering the K750, I will be using my work 02 sim card in this.

I have two choices, either buy a sim free phone but that's a lot of cash to part with all at once. Or alternatively get a contract phone and remove the sim.

If i go with the contact phone option, I am worried as about operator branding the biggest problem being vodafone as i remember K700i users unable to use MP3's as ringtones for a long time. So 1st question is if i get a contract phone which UK companies are not too bad with their branding. Also will they lock the phone to their network.

BTW i know about DaVinci, but i don't have a credit card or Paypal account so can't use this service.

As i mentioned before i could go with buying a sim free phone, But £300 is a lot of money to part with. anyone know if the price may come down with the release of the w800?

Go to O2. Only a small icon in the main menu and start up and shut down animations. Dont lock the phones either.

I was in a 02 shop the other week, and they had a low line rental option with this phone, something like £16pm, would be ideal, as like i said i will be using an o2 sime card, thanks for letting me know about the branding. i can live with these ones.

If you shop around, you'll easily find the K750 for less than £300. I've seen it go as cheap as about £225 and with the W800 being released in a few days, it'll probably drop further.

KrisUK - yes i have been looking around, and currently see it at about £240 for a moment i thourght i could get it for £220 from carphone warehouse and was about to take a drive into town to but one, but alas its £240. Even though its only £20 more i can't justify it at this time. What i will do is wait until next month, as i should get paid some overtime. Hopefully the price will drop as you say.

I would sell my K700i on ebay to help pay for the new phone, however my mother has said she wants to buy it off me, and as its her birthday next month i thourght i would just give her the thing, as she would be delighted with that.
