Will a Vodafone 3g V600 take regular 2.5g sims?

I used an old sim on one, as old as wap didn't exist yet.
And video calls worked perfectly.

That's like saying I could put my old Genie sim in one and get video calls to work on a 3G network. But they won't because I don't subscribe to a 3G tariff. Although 3G services are coming with new SIMs it's got to be based on what you subscribe to surely? |

The question was if an old sim would work.
Not if the service is activated.
But may I add that i had to do nothing to get video calls.
Just put the sim on the phone and voilá.
