Possible in some firmware versions...and not possible in others.....PLs check the K700/k500 firmware thread for details

This has been asked several times before. It's only poossible to remove the shuttersound on older phones to prevent "sneak-shots" and such things.

you need a dss-25 or dss-20 sync station and the drivers installed on your computer. then go to the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) on the website.

I would advise you to take the phone to a service centre and ask them to update the firmware....Islamabad is one of the metros in Pakistan, so there would surely be a service centre there....Or you can go to the SE website and check for the contact details of authorized service centres in Islamabad

Aah....the 6630 is a S60 symbian OS phone.....so there will be lots of applications available for it....ask him to check out the s60 section at http://www.my-symbian.com

Silent mode doesnt work in most versions.. The only trick that worked is to make a call (some free number), and open the lens cover while calling.

The call will mute the sound.
