Firmware Update in the States |

I just got t39m and subscribed to T-Mobile.
I see my phone's firmware is R2S001 (I know it is quite old).
I called Sony Ericsson in US and they said that I can send it in and they can update the firmware. But I don't want to wait for a week. Is there any other place that I can update? I live in Los Angeles.
Or I don't even have to bother doting it, do I?(I mainly use it as a regular phone as well as a wireless modem for my laptop via Bluetooth). |

I didn't even think about it at that time because T39m is not sold in the states and I thought they would not support anything other than what they have.

I had my T68 phone unlocked and upgraded by him. his latest firmware version so far is R2E, i don't know if he's got the newest one yet.
