Hey guys! Thought I would share a humorous story with everyone.
I live in the States, and just recently acquired a K750i. I had previously been using a K700 that lasted me a long time and is still running strong! Unfortunately the SIM card I had been running in the K700 was starting to bug out on me and was in need of replacement. Upon buying my K750 I figured it was high time to get off my butt and get a new SIM. I went to the local mall and visited the T-Mobile kiosk which I figured could easily transfer me onto another SIM. When I first asked the employee about a new SIM card he told me it was going to be $46.00! I shrugged and was a bit disappointed but I figured it was something my K750 was well deserving of. He then asked “what kind of phone are you running?” I quickly whipped out the K750 and he immediately flashed in awe (K750 have never been seen by these simple T-Mobile mall workers). Almost immediately every employee working the kiosk swarmed my phone and paid no attention to other passing customers. After about five or ten minutes of showing off my phone one of the employees acted like I had just waved my VIP pass and said “lemme see what we can do for you.” I thought to myself, “wow.. that wasn’t hard.” He began checking the computer for my account status while the rest of the employees still gawked over the phone. The employee returned said “it looks like you’re eligible for an agreement renewal, so the SIM is free.” I was delighted. One of the other employees said “hey, give him the free phone!” and then I was handed a Siemens without indication. After all was almost said and done I was handed the SIM and the employing slowly mouthed “hide it quick!” I laughed and thought he was joking the first couple of times but then realized he was serious. I slid the SIM into my pocket and went on with business. It turned out the manager of the Kiosk was returning the free SIM/phone deal they had given me was not exactly kosher, heh. Anyways, long story not so short, I ended up paying nothing for a new SIM and a phone (though it does not even compare WHATSOEVER to the K750). However, I was kinda sketched out....

if you were eligible for an upgrade, you could have use it on your K750. Meaning you only have to pay some $200 less. They won't and don't know how to do that with a K750 in mall T-mobile shops. But go to the shops that does order phones oversea and have an upgrade there.

Anyways, sim cards don't cost $45. They are around $10 to $20.

Hmm, I've never heard of any T-mobile shops in the US selling K750's. Definately not around me. Possibly in NYC...?

Cobra  .. Poor souls those at T kiosk ! # @Nitish: Sometimes even 100 bucks.. @Krubach: Man dont sellout yar S700. its a snazzy device. And 750 would give you just a marginal edge over the cam and some media advantage. I ended up taking a P910 at around USD $ 580 (Rs 25000) here in Bombay

Haha, thanks guys! I always get a kick out of people's reactions here in the states when they first see the K750.

I usually get a reaction similar to yours when I walk into any Cingular stores with my P910. The sales people completely forget about what they were doing and just sit there staring at my phone. One of the sales people that had a Treo650 looked overwhelmed when I explained that my phone not only had a qwerty keyboard, but handwriting recognition and a normal nphone keypad. He was also jealous of my larger screen.

I've managed several free sims and even a car charger.
