Whenever i press the music button on my k750 it says " insert the handsfree to use the music button" even though i have associated it with the media player and not the radio. The problem is want to listen to my music on the speaker and not using a handsfree kit. Any suggestions?

You have to have the handsfree inserted and then when you press the button it will go back and play from where it was last stopped.

Sorry but i may have worded it wrongly. What i am trying to say is, does the music button take you to the media player if there is no handsfree kit connected?

no you MUST have the hands free kit plugged in to the phone for the music button to work.

Personally i think this is a great idea because it stops the buttom being mistakingly pressed while in your pocket and wasting your battery

That's what the keypad lock is for though.

@KrisUK
but it means that you dont need to take the phone out of you pocket to unlock, when you want to switch on the music. I find it useful, maybe i just use my phone differently to everyone else

the media button is excluded in the keylock setting of the phone...
I have a mobile phone. That's all that matters.

I was checking me friend W800 and it doesnt require a handsfree set to be plugged it. It will play through the speaker phone. What the fudge! That I'm not happy about,

My SE K750i plays music through the built-in speaker without any problems. I have to select Media Player using the joystick since using the music button tells me to plug the headset in, as has already been mentioned in this thread.
