Well, at least those Clip On speakers sound promising...

Taken last Friday by Mrs.K, en route to Middelburg, just after we had exited the OlifantsKop Pass.

Nice pic bro! About the Clip-On speakers, it makes me wonder if noise pollution is gonna become even more rampant in Singapore. I'm not sure if you guys experience this over in SA, but over here in Singapore, there's been an increasing number of youths blaring music out of their new-fangled phones on public transport. I wouldn't be so annoyed if they were playing proper music, and if their speakers didn't suck that much. Haha... But seriously, a lot of commuters are frustrated but unable to do anything about it.

Talking about new stuff, I'm actually looking forward to seeing the K810i here. I'm not sure when it'll be launched here, but so far, it seems like the only phone I'd consider giving up my K750i for.

@ Kryptik,
The free speakers that plug in are the mps-70's, are already supplied as a freebie with the existing PAYG V630 (basically a Vodafone-branded K610i with a few different styling cues).
It is also (usually) supplied as a freebie in the box with the W300i on PAYG.

mps-70's are available separately too, and can be readily found on eBay for not too much moola.

Still a nice little addition to persuade low-to-mid-range cellphone punters further though.

BTW, Mrs K's pic looks bril, dig the way the sun's piercing through that cloud cover...just a pity the pic is a bit difficult to really appreciate, due to the small dimensions of the uploaded pic.

@ deluded,

Yeah, I really like the appearance of the K810i as well, and it's 5mm thinner than a K800i at 17mm.

9998...

Yup, I wish Kryptik bro could upload the original picture too. Hmm... I agree that slim phones really look attractive, but I prefer my phones to have a solid feel to them. My K750i's just the right size for me.

By the way, if any of you would like to see the sample photos taken with the K810i, GSMArena has some.

I'm feeling awfully special...Seems I beat everyone to the 10 000th post.
I'm sitting in a bar enjoying my favourite brew before supplies are cut short due to some beef between SABMiller and Heineken.

Mara why mfowethu? Having the 10 000th post meant that I would've been remembered for a while on this thread.
Off topic.
Anyone been experiencing problems with Vodacom 3G/GPRS lately...It's awfully slow between 7am and 11pm...At times I'm pining for a good'ol 56K dial-up connection. I usually use it to check on email and for some casual surfing but even with the new pricing structures it seems I'll have to get HSDPA usb modem on a second contract or should I cancel my current data bundle and get the usb modem with an appropriate data bundle from the Y'ello guys? I've investigated the ADSL option and it's not feasible since I live in a block of flats and also due to my aversion to Telkom.

@ da brixsta,
What? You would've been remembered for "a while" on this thread? LOL mfowethu, how could we forget the founder of this thread or your invaluable input?
After all, you beat me by creating the esato SA thread before I had any inkling to do so in the first place too, by quite a margin.

Congratulations on passing the 10000 post mark, everybody!!!

@Brix, i've noticed that mtn's signal seems to disappear at times over the past few days. Customer Care can't shed much light on the subject except that it's a "technical problem".
