Hi bucheral!

Thank you for the info and pic, does the back has the standard color?
I have never heard about it before and I can't find anything about on the internet, the Ericsson logo that should have been on the front have never been mounted.
I can se in your collection S838 and S988, i wonder what Ericsson got those numbers from..

@all
About the "manual" för A1018, the seller said it was made for trying out the inside of the boxes for the A1018, it's a kind of proto manual

Hi Stolleman,

yes, the back has the standard colour. About the S838 and the S988 I don't know why the "S", your 1088 is a "S" too, maybe this letter is used for prototypes during a certain period??? And the numbers...? This is a very good question

Hi bucheral,

It's a too good question if we don't have an answer, the hunt will go on!
But i think so too that Sxxx/Sxxxx is for prototypes but are there more phones with this kind of model number? I hope we will find more of this early prototypes

@all

Pictures for today is Bang & Olufsen beocom 9600 compared to Ericsson GA318.

Hi Stolleman,

yes Bang and Olufsen was a good partner for Ericsson, I think the handsets are exceptional Ericsson cooperated with Ascom too, behind you see the Ascom Discovery:

Hi bucheral!

Yes the did some phones and even Sharp had phones made from Ericsson, B&O, Sharp and Ascom did know real quality phones
I love those keys on your B&O, how do they feel when pressing them?
One more question for you bucheral, what Ericsson do you find least attractive? I have too say GA318 doesn't look good at all

Here are som pics of an old Ascom and a Sharp.

Hi Stolleman,

well the keys are ok, they look very good, but pressing them is not so comfortable, the surface is somehow too small

Yes you are right, the GA318 is not my favourite at all, there are others like GF768 and T10 series that are not my favourites either...

I confess, I still love my R380e and my T65 polar blue most of all

Hi bucheral!

The brand B&O feels like it's only design and practical after that but what do I know

I only like the red GF768 just for the color. T10 was my first phone ever and also my first Ericsson so the T10 will always have a special place in my heart.

I could have guessed that after reading almost all of your posts, both R380 and T65 is beautiful phones but most R380 I have to say.
It's not the most good looking phone but I like it very much how easy it is to change the flip on GF388 to a realy colorful and beautiful one.

My first phone, thank you mom

Hello Ginz,

my first working Ericsson phone was the T65 cosmic, which i got from a friend, shortly after I discovered the R320GPRS Proto. This was the beginning of a passion

Hello guys!

It is very nice to see the thread "breathing" again! We should keep up the good work! Congrats to everyone for the nice new beauties!

@Stolleman: I just love your S1088! Nice piece of mobile history and also must be a jewel of your collection!

Well, I just took some pictures of the two A2618s/Michelle prototypes I have, hope you guys like them:

Unfortunately I never had a chance to get a hold on a "real" Bang & Olufsen phone, but with a nice pack of parts I received a front cover, which fits nicely on a GH388, check it out:

By the way, does any of you maybe have a spare GF337, or at least a front cover without the flip?

Thank you bucheral and thank you again for the video. I can see that your new protos have found great places in your collection

I got from my girlfriend a light tent this christmas so I'm trying to get better pics of my Ericsson phones but it's hard, first pic is an ordinary R520m in very good condition and the second pic is a close up of the key set on the S1088 and a T28.
Over the CLR-button on the S1088 between the black and grey it looks like it's broken but it's not, just the edge didn't get straight when the shell was made

Sorry for the dustparticles
