aurelius, I'm with you if the launch is on 25th
How can they develop Honami so quickly
Sony's event is only in 2 places Germany and China. If its a Honami they would have more press event in popular cities? dont you think? Like UK,Russia,USA etc?

No, as huiyi posted it's a GLOBAL event. Media from the entire world has been invited to the Shanghai event and it is the first Sony Mobile exclusive independent event after Sony acquired .
Similar to Sony tablet S/P event in Japan or the Vita event.

i never understand why people care about the internal storage as long as there is expandable memory slot..
you might know that the internal memory is way WAY better than any SDcard out there.. in terms of speed, latency, durability.. and of course much expensive
reducing the internal mem & making company to support SD app transition will not do any good but for the manufacturers cost only

of course it's faster because it's hardwired into the board.. but is that speed really that noticeable for everyday use? no. are you doing massive transfers or doing anything that maxes out the speed of an SD card reader for extended time periods? probably not.
having a smaller sized internal memory with expandable SD card doesn't just reduce manufacturer costs but also reduces retail price for the end consumer. I'd rather buy my own 64GB sd card than pay the premium to have it installed internally.
anyway.. the SD/internal storage debate will go on forever as it is a matter of personal opinion so let's end it here.
ON TOPIC:
i'm happy that sony has kept the lid shut on honami except for spec information which may or may not be true (hopefully true). i think surprising the world with a beast of a phone is a good way to go.. especially with all the current hype surrounding it

I would like to see a countdown website, like they have done in the past.
There has been few surprise handsets that didn't leak. I think the Xperia V was one of them.

I'm wondering if there is anything in the way of a boutique handset in the pipeline, along the lines of Xperia Pureness but much more modern.
I'm thinking 4-5mm thin, almost edge to edge top, sides and bottom 4.5" screen, maybe a slightly curved/banana design (so slight that you would notice unless it was placed on a flat surface), aluminium or glass or soft touch finish on carbon fibre, buttonless. No camera, no need the people who can afford this handset prefer form, exclusiveness and have a DSLR. On the back, engraved "SONY make.believe" plus any custom engraving ordered at time of purchase (like iPods used to do). Just a quality handset. I'd pay top dollar for that.
Perhaps a kickstarter there for someone with drive.

@rickyD..
there was a news article maybe back in 2011 or even 2012 that said by the end of 2013 we would see flexible mobile phones that were made entirely of flexible OLED screens..
if sony came out with that as a boutique phone, that'd be amazing.
