I just saw too this XZ1 geekbench score.
Antutu says it is android 8.0, geekbench says it is 7.1
I read somewhere a while ago that 40% of the phones sold that cost at least 400 USD in Taiwan were Sony.
In Taiwan Sony seems stronger than Asus and Htc.
There is a guy, I guess he is an actor, always part of advertisement.
He seems to be a celebrity there

if you look closer, this is actually XZ Premium score, right under the system info, it is saying Sony G8141, aka XZ Premium |

@adida
Do you know if 840 and 845 come same semester like 808/810 or separated like 801/805?
Is G34xx something like a XA1+ ( 5" 16:9) or XA1 Ultra Wide (6.2" 21:9)?

2 chipsets solution again, seem that lesson never learn
anyway, my personal guess
840 probably 10/14nm chipset with Samsung
and 845 will be make with 7nm with TSMC
And I also like to see how 2nd generation of gigabit lte modem will perform.

I dont remember as well
but if you look at the spec closely, XA is actually faster than L1
if L1 will get 8.0 as what it said, i think XA could get it as well
since L1 is Quad-Core 1.45GHz A53
while XA is Octa-Core 4×2.0GHz A53 + 4x1.0GHz A53

M4 has 615 just like Moto X Play.
X Play was listed to get 7.1, I don't know if it has already. M4 not even 7.0
M5 is strong, like z1. Could easily get 7.0 .....
No cpu incompatibilities like 800/801
I am not sure but I guess L1 and E5 have same cpu.

just forget old mid range Xperia
old Xperia, like Xperia Z and Z1 are legend, because they are flagship
Z from 4.1,4.2,4.3,4.4,5.0,5.1
Z1 from 4.2,4.3,4.4,5.0,5.1
and it is now X series, and XA not over 18months yet, i would really want to see all X series could go to 8.0 as milestone, like revolutionary change for Sony Mobile |

I'd like to see it too.
One update for E5 and L1.
Two updates for XA, XAU, XA1, XA1U, X and Xc
Three updates for high ends.
My phone: 5.0.1, 6.0 , 6.0.1, 7.0 and 7.1.1...
I know 8.0 wont show up.
But I wish to have at least security patches of september and december ..
