I will test it and let you know.
It's probably tomorrow I'll have more time to find out how it really is.
And guys, don't let trolls and haters spoil the fun.
Z2 has one of the best phone's camera ever made.
Almost every test shows this, those frustrated cats here don't mean anything really.
808 is not comparable because it's not a phone - it's an idiotic Nokia experiment
resulting in camera attached to a junk device pretending beeing a smartphone.
Very old crappy phone with the worst Symbian ever made.
Let's be serious, please.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!
The FIRST of us user to have a Z2 in his hands!!!!
Not the first at all. The second maybe. milukugiuniu has had one for some time now.

Haha get your eyes checked, you must be blind! Horrible smudging, heavy processing, lack of detail all over.

2.808
3.Z2
Skull shot
1.808
2.1020
3.Z2
Water shot

3.Z2
Clock shot

No 808 on that test.

I'm not trolling, if Z2 had won, I would have said so.
It put in quite a poor underwhelming performance, big let down. |

Unfortunately for us the consumers, we are forced to make a choice, and compromise one way or another.
You want the best smart phone experience, you go for the Z2.
I want the best camera experience, I go for the 808.
So in this case I am getting subpar smartphone experience, relative to the Z2, and you are getting subpar camera experience relative to the 808.
There is no device out there that combines the two just yet, but I think we might see it by the end of 2014.
I really like the Z2, and I've always liked Ericsson (Sony) so I am just keeping a close eye on what's going on. I am not trying to troll the thread on anything like that.
I have 3 options: Sony / Apple / Microsoft
One of them will produce the ultimate device, I just don't know when and who is going to produce the best such device. Whoever it is tho, I am going to replace my 808 with it. I just need the sound recording, lossless zoom, and image quality to be on par, or better than the 808.. I don't even need them to be better to be honest..
Agreed. To me it sounds like Nokia/Microsoft is still your best bet as they offer the control /settings that others don't (I.e. Raw files). To me apple and Sony will improve the image quality but won't make a camera eccentric phone as most consumers don't need that - consumers need a point and shoot that takes great photos
Anyway I would love to see more camera samples from z2- hopefully it will live to its expectations
It is also becoming available from tomorrow here in UK - hopefully it will sell well. Most stores keep selling the z1 so I am curious how will this affect the sales of z2

pls don't glorify the trolls by giving them a reply. if you really want to engage them, go to their threads. you're giving them the utter bliss of getting responses for the falsities they spread. the reason they come to the z2 threads is that they're already getting sick flattering each other and their own selves in their own fangirling/fanboying threads. |

I'm still attending the university so my cash is really low... this summer I'll work three months so I'm buying it in July or June, as soon as I get the first monthly cash |

Understandable, it's tough being a student these days I'm in a similar boat, luckily my main upgrade comes around the same time as the phone I want.
By the time July comes around the Z2 should've had a nice price drop as well, so maybe you'll get a good deal on it.

Please Doministry shed some light on:
- Speaker Performance (music and incoming calls)
- Daylight Visibility
- Dimensions and Handling
- Camera (if you can )
- Notification LED
- Build Quality
- New function (like Smart Backlight, Tap2Wake and so on)
- Pen and Stylus INPUT
Some first things:
- I don't use SIM yet but for the music the sound is good. I don't care that much about speakers
but these are OK. Not very loud though, I mean nothing extraordinary. There are idiotic EU limits regarding loudness of devices... The sound is sweet.
- Daylight visibility with brighter settings is great but than I never had any problems with it with Z either, it's just a matter of brightness
- Clearly bigger than Z, clearly bigger screen too. But more rounded corners and edges give actually better feel for me. Also the volume and power button are in perfect place.
- Camera later
- LED looks nice, what else can I say?
- I don't use those silly gimmicks like smart backlight. But I can say I've tried Tap2Wake and it works like a charm with different times between taps. But for me it's OFF
- I don't have a stylus. BUT there is simply no reaction to any pen or any object other than fingers. Like ballpen, the screen doesn't react to any touch. Only fingernails work.

I think you have to enable glove mode in the settings |
