Samsung Galaxy S4 announced |

On Mobile News Online website last month I read that Samsung predicted a fall in sales of devices even their own. Samsung predicted market saturation and increased competition but that increased competition has hardly put a massive dent in Samsung's sales overall. Windows phone has increased it's market share which took away some growth elsewhere but it's still nothing on what Samsung is selling.

The anti-Samsung boys will use anything they can in their attempts to put anything Samsung down.
It doesn't matter though. The better products still outsell the nonsense.
I must admit, the LG G2 is one tempting device indeed. Rather than silly waterproofing and half baked ideas about copying Pureview technology, LG for once have some really nice software innovations going on with the G2. I can see why people went nuts and injured themselves trying to win one at that balloon incident.
For me, 2013 is a two horse Android race, the Galaxy S4 vs the G2. HTC, Sony, Motorola and the rest are well out of it.

Yes the LG G2 is now reviewed on GSM Arena and again the camera is also excellent which Phone Arena also said too. And the G2 is an excellent all round device

freakin hell, its a monster of a thing! I don't know how you manage Rikken, the Mega 6.3 is far too much Samsung for me, lol. I'm even hoping the GS5 isn't too large, 5.2inch should be the sweet spot.
How's the UI performance and batt life compared to the S4?

Batterylife is better on the Mega. The phone is fluid and slick despite it's mid specs, it actually impresses me and I love the large, crisp and clear screen 720p is no problem, it is easy to read small text and you should try this one watching youtube or movies. It fits easily in any of my pockets too.

Excellent
I'll give it a go next time I walk into a Samsung store, maybe next week sometime.
Is it possible to use with one hand though?

I actually believe now that Samsung have a worthy competitor in LG. The G2 to LG is what the Galaxy S2 was to Samsung, its their first proper stand out by a mile Android device.
Its certainly took me by surprise.

Indeed, +1 Etaab.
The G2 is an absolute beast, I just hope LG give it a longer run WRT updates, they abandon phones so quickly it makes me cringe. The Optimus G rocks the same hardware as a Nexus 4, yet it's still at 4.1 same with the Optimus G Pro which has the same hardware as the Galaxy S4 and Htc One, there doesn't seem to be any sign of an upcoming update for either, unless I missed it.
Hardware wise LG has caught up, I was actuały expecting them to bring the 1st 3GB RAM and 4K phone. I think next year it's going to be a VERY close one between them and Sammy, and if Lenovo, Huawei and ZTE can continue their aggressive push outside China (I'm seeing a lot of Huawei ads locally), Samsung will have more real competition.

SGS4 won most of those apart from 2 or 3 and some were ties. |

Wow, must say, I expected the LG G2 to do a clean sweep, didn't think the GS4 would put up such a fight, especially in Camera, Video, Audio quality and as an overall package.
Anyway, great comparison by GSMArena. One part that get's me is how the GS4's audio quality is being praised by many, maybe it's due to me being already spoilt by my GS3's audio and GS2's that when I got the GS4 I didn't completely appreciate the excellent sonic experience it delivers.
On the other hand, great to see LG back on their feet, the G2 is a beastly thing, it's great to see a complete and worthy challenger to Samsung and Apple's dominance, just hope LG don't screw up the updates!
