and this is one of the reasons I like LED back-lighted LCD, specially when the panel is IPS

Yes, avoid Simply Electronics.

Clove Technology are reputable, and although they don't have stock yet of course, their pre-order price is the best I've seen in the UK so far at £420 inc VAT.

Well I have some info. which is nice and very good...

Xperia Arc may have USB OTG, if not in the final sw release, it may be on later a sw update... and AFAIK will soon updates all of it new Xperia range to 2.4... so I just hope USB OTG will be there too

I don't know any functionality that the USB OTG will get, but it may give you the ability to connect a regular USB keyboard, or use a USB mass storage.. or it might give you both of these... lets hope will give us something early...

I'm imagining to connect the phone to a TV using HDMI and hooking a keyboard to it to do more advanced browsing

of course we will need an Male-microUSB to female-USB adapter to make things work which is not yet announced by

Can I ask how genuine that info is? Not that I'm questioning your reliability or anything. I myself would love to have USB OTG support in my next phone and would be very happy if Arc had this option(then I wouldn't even consider buying GS II). It just seems unlikely that SE would be silent about this feature(clear advantage over direct competitors), although samsung was quiet about HD output through MHL port on Galaxy S II so everything is possible.

I know its a little early, but will there be screen protectors available for the Arc once its released?

Also, do you think there will be a case/pouch with a "pull up strap" for the Arc?? Wouldn't mind having one of those 'Case Mates' like I have for my Desire, but with the Arc's unique design, I am not sure if they will do one for the Arc.

At least in Sweden, a screen protector and a case/pouch will be provided in the box (not sure how they looks like), along with a 16 GB card, a wired headset, charger and a HDMI cable.
