@francoislr, thanks for the compliment. I have a special liking for old buildings too. And I prefer to take pictures of static objects in general, they're more cooperative than moving objects, haha... Close-up pictures are good too, more details.
It's a rainy Sunday here in Singapore, how are you guys spending the weekend? I've just bought "Battlefield 2" for PC, I liked the demo enough to spend good money on the retail version. I know it's been out for quite a while now, but well, I've never been one to pay a premium just to get ahead of technology. Have a good week ahead guys!

Just woken up and I'm still in a half-zombiefied afer a very late night...ie. only managed to get to bed a few hours ago.
I can see myself earning a distinction in procrastination today, before attempting to open the files of admin waiting for my attention later...
Right, time to upload some of the pics from last night onto the PC.
Cue Arnie voice: " I'll be back...!"
@ deluded,
Thanks bro, you have a great week ahead too.

All taken with the N73 last night...what a mission to get a decent pic by shoving the camera lens in the telescope's viewing aperture. This is because so much light is reflected by the moon that if you don't angle the camera lens correctly, you'll get a bright, 'glowing' white ball when you take the pic.
Will post a few other pics later.

The K550i is now available here in the UK, available from CPW on PAYG (ie. their sim-free, unbranded PAYG stock) for £129.95 (approx R1820) when bought with £10 airtime:

@ wanqa, excellent pictures! 10billion times better than mine!hehe! We also had a lot of cloud cover last night, but there were open spots. I got this theory, whenever something really cool happens in the sky, Pretoria will have cloud cover. It always happens.
Today is so hot i can barely breathe!

@ Francois,
LOL thanks, but it is pretty much a game of press n' pray when taking shots in such a way.
This one was taken with a basic 4mp Olympus cam after the N73's battery called time-out, also through the telescope's aperture:
It's a miserable, rainy Sunday here, compared to the fantastic Saturday weather we had.
This was taken late yesterday afternoon from the back door, with the N73 again:

@wanqa, brilliant pics bro! I'm speechless! Those are some very good pictures!
@jmash, don't envy me, I've gotten my fair share of scorching weather here too! Heh... Yesterday just happened to be a lucky day. But of course, I've heard people grumbling about the wet weather here too. Well, can't please everyone I suppose. Good luck to cooler weather at your end bro!

Wow bro, those pix are fantastic!!! The N73 and scope make a gr8 combination!

It's been a lovely weekend here. Beautiful evening with a gr8 view of the eclipse, followed by drenching rain the entire day today. My lawns and vegetable garden are clapping hands, lol. It's been hot and dry for far too long down here.
Deluded, i'm not sure whether you saw Wanqa's post regarding the package offered by Virgin. My buddy and i were speaking about it last nite, very very competitive prices mentioned there for 40pounds! I suppose we'll need to exercise more patience whilst waiting for the local market to kick in and start a little price warmongering too
Anyway, thanx for the good wishes, Deluded, hope your week will be equally blessed, bro, and that goes for all of us.

LOL, to boldly go where no Wanqa has gone before...
Now I wonder if we will ever be able to detect any remnants of the Apollo missions with commercially available/affordable technological advances in years to come...imagine all the discussions then amongst the conspiracy theorists..

@ Kryptik, you got my e-mail, please e-mail me some of that rain...I...NEED...IT!
So a new working week. I am not looking forward to it, but at least I got work to do this week.
I got Esato to work in Firefox. I went into options and added www.esato.com to Cookies:Allow and Allow Popup lists. It seems to work now. It loaded a little slow, but the "post reply" button was quick. So I am a little pessimistic about the new look, but when I say a little, I mean a little. Will probably change my tune in a few days.
So the boss's kids are selling brownies again...evil I say! These brownies are SO good...

For the next few days, I won't be able to post that much, as I'm taking my class for an outdoor education trip in a rural part of Essex.
The outdoor education centre is run by the local education auhority. It's great to see the kids in a different, away-from-home scenario; how they handle more hands-on problem solving activities, learn to do more things for themselves, develop their social skills, seeing what other strengths and skills they have, etc. etc.
I've packed in the P900 and N73 for company..
Have a good week, y'all.
