yeah but i remember in chennai u need to buy the STB, else all the channels without it is useless. and also i kno that many local cable operators dont provide u with the STB (this happened where my relatives live) so they were stuck with some boring channels.

You need the stb 2 watch paid and foreign channels. It is provided by both scv and hathway. The SCV package is better; 120 channels 4 200 bucks +100 bucks for cable op.

I paid around 4k the box and 400 4 the card when it was launched. Yes there are rental plans. You'll have 2 look at the site.
I prefer watching Animax and Star World the whole day =).

hey serocks have u tried satellite? yes its far far far more expensive $100+++ for some plans. but u get more than 900 channels and trust me bout 25% of them r good ones. only problem is sometimes it freezes due to bad weather.
also u get zee tv, asianet, surya etc etc now there right?

oh yeah, I know that..... but I didn't subsribe to cable. Over the air channels are fine for me...... coz I don't watch TV much, I spend most of my time on my computer and if I need to watch anything, just download it......I used to subscribe to cable sometime back, but I ended up myself not watching it most of the time... so, I figured there is no point in having it....
And yes, I agree that there is more choice with satellite..... more channels.... |
