@ deluded,
Great to have you around these parts again.
That fried hokkien mee does look appetising; is that sauce/dip/chutney on the left quite a hot, spicey serving?
BTW, the cam picked up the detail and texture of parts of the old buildings very well.

Thanks @amawanqa, glad to be back here again too. You're right, that's chilli sauce on the bottom left of the plate. It's usually hand-ground with a stone-grinder, but these days they're mass-produced. I'm not too sure if that food-stall makes their own chilli, but it makes a good companion for the main dish. The dish is also usually accompanied by a bit of lime. Talking about it makes me hungry. Heh...

The K750 takes good pictures in the day, it's the night that brings out the noise in the photos. Still, it's pretty remarkable for a phone. Your N73 did a pretty good job with the guitar too. You mentioned using the zoom, which I presume would be the digital zoom? If that's the case, I think the N73 ought to be complimented for its well-implemented digital zoom as one can hardly tell that zoom has been used in the picture. Or maybe it's just me? Still, I think the picture's good for a camera phone.

Felt like it's been an eternity since I posted here. Well, basically work has kept me busy...like said last October when I started my new job.

@francois: Even though I've not been posting much I've still been following the thread whenever I have a free minute...nice pics.

@da wanqsta: I think that Ross Kemp doccie got nicked at the Post Office because I've not yet received it...the other day I got a package sent from New York so I guess these things are quite random

@ da brixta,
Xolo, it's my fault this time, not the post office. I want to make a back-up copy of it in case the original is 'lost' in the post, and I keep forgetting to do so. Will defo post it out to you early next week.

Off topic, I'm sure you saw that The Gunners' indifferent season continued last night...

@ deluded,
Yup, I thought I'd lose a lot more definition using the digital zoom than what I actually did with that pic. The one weak spot of the N73 cam is taking indoor close-ups at night, when you can't use the flash because you're so close to an object. What you then get is a very average pic with small, linear, funny blue speckles in places, mottled amongst the darker areas of the pic.
Still, overall, I'm enjoying taking pics with the N73.

LOL, it appears that I am the owner of a 1000cc bicycle (!)... that 'tannie' behind one of the post office's vehicle licensing counters really needs a check-up from the neck-up...

@da wanqsta: Akho nxaki mhlobo wam!
Yes, the Gunners were firing blanks all evening. At least I'm happy that Benni scored a wonder goal, probably his best I've seen.

There's a full lunar eclipse tonight; will see what view we've got at about 9:30 tonight and will try to take a pic or two with the N73.

Hey Kryptik bro! A very happy belated birthday to you! I'm not sure I like the new Esato layout, it's giving me a headache to be honest. And I doubt it's cos I'm not used to it yet. It looks clean and sleek, but somehow it's just not very comfortable to look at. It's mostly the text part, but as most of you would have realised by now, Esato is mostly about the text, isn't it? I find the posts a little messy to look at now. Maybe it's just me.

This happened to me the other day but luckily I was not held in contempt of court.

BLOEMFONTEIN March 2 Sapa
MAN AVOIDS JAIL OVER NOISY CELLPHONE

A man sentenced to a month's imprisonment for allowing his
cellphone to ring in court and answering it while still in the room
got the ruling overturned on appeal on Friday.
The Supreme Court of Appeal upheld an appeal by Keri Gwyn Lewis
against his conviction in the Johannesburg High Court of contempt
of court.
Lewis had been in the public gallery in the Johannesburg court
when his cellphone rang noisily while the court was in session. He
answered it while walking out of the courtroom.
The annoyed judge sent a court orderly after Lewis and, when he
had finished his cellphone conversation outside the court, he was
called back into court.
He was ordered into the witness stand, questioned about his
conduct, convicted of contempt of court on the spot and sentenced
to a month in jail.
Delivering a unanimous judgment on Friday, three appeal judges
said the Constitution gave an accused person the right to a fair
trial which included the right to legal representation.
The judges found that Lewis could not be convicted of contempt
of court unless he had intended to treat the court with disrespect.
They said the fact that Lewis had left the court and had no
longer interfered with the administration of justice meant
immediate action was not required.
The conviction was therefore set aside.
The Bloemfontein court also said that at times it might be more
"dignified" to simply ignore conduct that may technically
constitute contempt of court or to treat it less harshly than
convicting the offender.
"A rebuke or some other indication of disapproval should in most
cases be an adequate measure to discourage cellphone transgressions
in court," the judgment read.
