What a day,What a day!Just reading the reviews on the N95 methinks it's gonna Rock.
Just a thought,I see a lot of people out there with powerful Smartphones and wonder if these people know what these little matchens are cappable of.

@ jmash,
I think it would be a very low percentage of users who actually use their smartphones as smartphones.
I know many who only use their smartphones for sms'ing, happy snaps and er...phoning. I would imagine that in SA there's more WAPping away on places like mxit or prodigits than here, simply down to the much higher UK data costs.
I seriously don't know that many people with third party applications on smartphones around here...

@Wanqa
Imagine paying huge amounts of money for a phone just because of it's looks and not for the real purpose.Maybe there should be a way of educating people about such things before they make the purchase.

Hey creepy,
Welcome to the SA thread!

@ jmash,
Thing is, people who pay big bucks for handsets, ie. sim-free etc. are often aware of the potential of smartphones, ie. geekstas who are able to rationalise why they are forking out so much for a phone.

However, most culprits who get them without a cooking clue of their potential are often those who are due for an upgrade and are intrigued by either the sales talk in the shop or hearing it's the latest n' greatest which they can get for free with their contract...for some this is (tragically) a good enough reason, without ever actually bothering to explore their new 'smart' device in more depth...

Just my very generalised 2c-and-a-bit worth.

Hey Creepy, howzit going?

That's really the saddest part of all, the fact that they sit there with such a powerful tool and are totally clueless! And once they hear what you can do with the phone, some become curious... Show me please... so you show them... even instal some stuff for them... and when you return, months later, they're still clueless, lol. Its a sad sad world we live, mense...

@da wanqsta: What do u make of the N73's Safari-inspired browser. Played around with it this evening and it's way better than the one on my N70.
BTW, welcome to creepy_maver.

@ da brixsta,
To be honest I never picked up on the 'Safari inspiration' of the N73's standard browser; possibly due to my lack of contact with any Macs around me.
As I mentioned to Darth Mario, I find the installed browser good enough to not bother with any third party browser... what a difference compared to the 3230's more primitive example.

Sayonara (for now..), Opera.

CATCH A FIRE
Has anyone here seen this movie yet?I only saw the trailer,it's about time Mzansi Real Stories are told on an international level.I think ZA has the potential to make Hollywood style movies and only thing needed are people who can invest in our own movie makers!

@Jmash, i saw the movie last weekend. Really took me back into time. One of my earliest memories is of travelling out of town with my dad, and the car being stopped at each and every roadblock between here and Cape Town, with the entire contents of the boot being (mostly) unceremoniously dumped onto the ground as the police searched for illegal paraphernalia. to rejoicing when political prisoners were released. What made this movie even more poignant for me is the fact that the person upon whose life it is based is still very much alive and kicking and very involved in caring for his community (he and his wife take care of some 80plus streetkids).

Nice late birthday pressie there, Gucci. Gee, wouldn't mind I got pressies like that when I was your age, boet. Enjoy.

The W880i is now available in the UK, sim-free from independent retailers like mobilefun and mphone. Mphone have both colour options in stock.

As to be expected, ridiculously expensive at this stage; well over 300 from either site...
